Choosing Between Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks for Indian SMBs

TallyPrime is the most widely used Indian accounting software. It is desktop-based, supports full GST workflow, and integrates with most Indian banks for reconciliation. Pricing is one-time with optional annual support. Zoho Books is cloud-native, has excellent GST support, automates reconciliation, and is priced monthly per organisation. Best for service businesses and SMBs that prefer cloud. QuickBooks India is also cloud-based with strong reporting. The Indian version supports GST but the ecosystem (integrations, advisors) is smaller than Zoho Books.
