DSC and DIN: Director Identification Basics

Digital Signature Certificate is mandatory for filing forms on the MCA portal. Most certifying authorities issue a Class 3 DSC for individuals, valid for two years. DIN is the unique identifier for any person who is or intends to be a director of an Indian company. Apply through SPICe+ at company incorporation or separately via Form DIR-3. Both DSC and DIN are prerequisites for filing incorporation forms and annual returns.
