Frequently asked questions
What is the monthly turnaround commitment?
Books are closed and MIS is delivered by the 5th working day of the next month. If we miss this, we credit one month of the recurring fee as SLA penalty.
Which software will my books be on?
You can pick Tally Prime, QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books; we adapt to the one your auditor or investor is comfortable with and do not push our own licence.
Is bank reconciliation included every month?
Yes. We reconcile bank, credit card, payment-gateway and loan accounts every month and share the reconciliation statement for your records.
Can you also file GST and TDS returns?
Monthly bookkeeping covers entries and reconciliation. GST return filing and TDS return filing are available as separate monthly retainers if needed.
What happens during the audit window at year-end?
We freeze the December and March books early, prepare 44AB-ready schedules and coordinate with your statutory auditor during the audit window.
Will I get a dedicated accountant?
Yes, a dedicated qualified accountant is assigned to your entity with a reviewer as backup, and you get direct WhatsApp and call access during business hours.
Is there a lock-in or minimum commitment?
There is no lock-in. We bill monthly in advance and you can pause or cancel with 30 days notice after the first three months of engagement.
About this service
Monthly bookkeeping is the financial pulse of a business — it provides the real-time financial data that owners and managers need to make informed decisions about cash flow, pricing, staffing, and growth. A business that only reviews its finances at year-end or during tax season is operating blind for 11 months of the year. The cost of that blindness is missed opportunities, accumulating errors in receivables and payables, and the stress of scrambling to reconstruct financial records when a bank asks for statements or an investor requests financials. Monthly bookkeeping eliminates this end-of-year crunch by ensuring that every transaction — from the smallest petty cash expense to a large capital expenditure — is recorded, categorised, and reconciled on a regular cycle throughout the year.
How Monthly Bookkeeping Prevents Year-End Accounting Surprises
Businesses that neglect monthly bookkeeping frequently discover at year-end that their books contain errors that would have been obvious and easy to fix month-by-month but are now complex and time-consuming to unravel. Common year-end surprises include: GST input tax credit claimed on purchases that were never uploaded by the supplier, creating a credit mismatch; expenses recorded in the wrong accounting period, inflating one quarter's costs and understating another's; bank balances that don't match the books because transactions were recorded on the wrong date; and receivables that have aged beyond recognition because follow-up was never done. Monthly reconciliation by a bookkeeper catches each of these issues as they arise and ensures the books accurately reflect the business's financial position at all times.
