TIS

The near-real-time view within the AIS that reflects TDS/TCS credits and specified transactions as they are filed.

The Tax Information Statement (TIS) is a component of the Annual Information Statement that updates as deductors and collectors submit their periodic statements, giving taxpayers near-real-time visibility of TDS and TCS credits and certain specified financial transactions during the year rather than only in the annual statement. It complements the static information view of the AIS.

Examples

Shortly after a deductor files a TDS return, the corresponding credit becomes visible in TIS.
