MCA
Ministry of Corporate Affairs — the central government ministry responsible for administering the Companies Act 2013, LLP Act 2008, and other corporate laws in India.
The MCA regulates the incorporation, governance, and dissolution of companies and LLPs in India. It oversees the Registrar of Companies (ROC), Regional Directors, the Competition Commission of India, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), and the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA). All filings are done through the MCA21 portal. Penalties for non-compliance range from ₹25,000 to ₹25 crore depending on the nature of the offence.
