Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
At FinTax24, we strive to provide excellent service quality. However, we understand that circumstances may require service cancellation or refund requests. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations.
Please read this policy carefully before engaging our services. By making a payment, you agree to these terms.
2. Refund Eligibility Conditions
2.1 Eligible for Full Refund
You are eligible for a 100% refund in the following cases:
- Service cancellation within 24 hours of payment AND before any work has commenced
- Duplicate payment made by error
- Technical error in payment processing
- Service not delivered due to FinTax24's inability to fulfill the order
- Gross negligence or fraud by FinTax24 (subject to investigation)
2.2 Eligible for Partial Refund
Partial refunds may be provided in the following situations:
- Service cancellation after work has commenced but before completion
- Refund amount will be determined based on work completed
- Minimum 30% of service fee is non-refundable after work initiation
- Any government fees paid are non-refundable
2.3 Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:
- Service completed and delivered as per agreed terms
- Government rejection due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by client
- Client's failure to submit required documents despite repeated requests
- Change of mind after service commencement
- Delays caused by client non-responsiveness
- Third-party service fees (government fees, courier charges, etc.)
- Consultation and advisory services (after delivery)
3. Service-Specific Refund Terms
3.1 Registration Services (Pvt Ltd, LLP, OPC, etc.)
- Before name approval application: 100% refund (minus payment gateway charges)
- After name approval, before incorporation filing: 50% refund
- After incorporation filing: No refund (service in progress with authorities)
- Government fees: Non-refundable at any stage
3.2 GST Registration
- Before application submission: 100% refund
- After application submitted to GST portal: 50% refund
- After GST number issued: No refund
- Government rejection due to client error: No refund
3.3 Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing
- Before data collection: 100% refund
- After ITR filed but before verification: 50% refund
- After e-verification completed: No refund
- Notice handling services: Non-refundable after commencement
3.4 Compliance Services (Annual ROC, GST Returns, TDS Filing)
- Before work starts: 100% refund
- Work in progress: Refund based on work completed (max 70%)
- After submission to authorities: No refund
- Late filing penalties: Non-refundable
3.5 Trademark Registration
- Before search and application: 100% refund
- After trademark search: 70% refund
- After application filing: 30% refund (government fees non-refundable)
- Objection/hearing stages: No refund (separate charges apply)
3.6 Licenses (FSSAI, IEC, etc.)
- Before application preparation: 100% refund
- After document preparation: 50% refund
- After submission to authority: No refund
- License rejection by authority: No refund of government fees
3.7 Accounting & Bookkeeping Services
- Monthly services: Cancellable with 15 days notice, prorated refund
- After month completion: No refund for completed months
- Annual packages: Refund calculated based on months remaining
4. Refund Request Process
Step 1: Submit Request
To request a refund, send an email to refund@fintax24.in with the following information:
- Order/Invoice number
- Service name
- Payment date and amount
- Reason for refund request
- Supporting documents (if applicable)
Step 2: Review Process
Our team will review your request within:
- 3-5 business days for standard cases
- 7-10 business days for complex cases requiring investigation
Step 3: Decision Communication
We will notify you of the refund approval or denial via email, including:
- Refund status (approved/partial/denied)
- Refund amount (if applicable)
- Reason for decision
- Expected refund timeline
Step 4: Refund Processing
If approved, refunds will be processed within:
- Online payments (UPI, Cards): 5-7 business days
- Bank transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash payments: Bank transfer within 10-15 business days
Refunds will be credited to the original payment method. If not possible, we will arrange an alternative method.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Client-Initiated Cancellation
You may cancel services at any stage by:
- Sending written notice via email
- Calling our customer support
- Using the cancellation form (if logged in)
Refund eligibility will be determined based on the stage of service completion (as per Section 3).
5.2 FinTax24-Initiated Cancellation
We may cancel services if:
- Required documents are not provided within 30 days
- Client is non-responsive for 15+ days
- Information provided is found to be false or misleading
- Service is legally prohibited or violates our policies
In such cases, refunds will be calculated based on work completed (30-70% may be retained).
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Government Fees: Stamp duty, filing fees, registration fees paid to authorities
- Third-Party Charges: Courier, notary, professional charges
- Payment Gateway Fees: Transaction charges (2-3% of amount)
- Completed Services: Services fully delivered and accepted
- Consultation Fees: After consultation delivered
- Digital Products: Downloadable guides, templates (after download)
7. Special Circumstances
7.1 Service Delays
If service delivery is delayed beyond the agreed timeline due to FinTax24's fault (not government delays), you may:
- Request expedited processing at no extra cost
- Request partial refund (10-20% depending on delay)
- Cancel and receive full refund if delay exceeds 60 days
7.2 Government Rejection
If your application is rejected by government authorities:
- Due to our error: Full refund or free re-filing
- Due to client's documents/information: No refund, but we'll assist with resubmission at discounted rates
- Due to regulatory changes: Partial refund (50-70%)
7.3 Change in Scope
If you request changes to service scope after order placement, additional charges may apply. Refunds are not provided for original service if scope changes.
8. Refund Calculation Examples
Example 1: Pvt Ltd Registration Cancellation
Order Value: ₹8,999 (Professional fee: ₹6,999 + Govt fee: ₹2,000)
Cancellation Stage: After name approval, before incorporation
Refund Calculation:
• Professional fee refund: 50% of ₹6,999 = ₹3,500
• Government fee: ₹0 (non-refundable)
• Payment gateway charges: -₹180 (2%)
Total Refund: ₹3,320
Example 2: ITR Filing Cancellation
Order Value: ₹1,499
Cancellation Stage: Before data collection
Refund Calculation:
• Service fee: 100% of ₹1,499 = ₹1,499
• Payment gateway charges: -₹30
Total Refund: ₹1,469
Example 3: Annual Compliance Package
Order Value: ₹24,999 (12 months)
Cancellation Stage: After 4 months
Refund Calculation:
• Monthly rate: ₹24,999 / 12 = ₹2,083/month
• Months used: 4 months = ₹8,332
• Remaining: 8 months = ₹16,664
• Cancellation fee: 10% = -₹1,666
Total Refund: ₹14,998
9. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with our refund decision:

- Request escalation to senior management
- We will review within 7 business days
